Thanks for accepting our invitation. We are very happy that we made it happen.

Roxana, as you probably know, Crypton Research is a Polish community for gems research. We’re always on a lookout for new projects and microcaps to research them and serve the reports to our community. One of such projects is Launchpool which report was published here few weeks ago so our members could familiarize themselves with the project.

As we have lots of questions to you, I think that there’s no need to further introduce the project for now :)

Could you introduce yourself and the project to our polish community?

Yes, of course.

First off, kudos and hats off (except mine) to the great community you guys have here. Super impressed with Polish people and their openness to technology, not just crypto, but also tech and opportunities in general. You may not know, but before being 100% in crypto, I spent 6 years building two products called Elance.com and Upwork.com (freelance marketplaces) with the US team, in Europe, as a country manager in Romania, and we had a lot of cross-over with Poland and our onsite ambassador there at the time.

I’ve been an entrepreneur since 2009, and had my share of mad research (built an IQ test from scratch). I’m a privacy advocate and a strategist, and love supporting products and communities. Been in Bitcoin since late 2013, and in altcoins since 2017.

I’ve joined Launchpool in April to help grow the community and expand across bordersAllocation in a project is guaranteed by staking $LPOOL tokens, where Time + Amount is factored in.

Launchpool is an investment platform, that offers its community the opportunity to participate in projects at private sale prices, before projects hit IDO launchpads.
Allocation in a project is guaranteed by staking $LPOOL tokens, where Time + Amount is factored in.
Project tokens can be obtained at the same price large crypto investment funds get them, promoting equality among stakeholders.
This provides transparency and negates any party having any advantages over another, with fewer pump and dumps, which ultimately hit hard the retail investor.
Our mission : Provide egalitarian investment opportunities for our community at the best prices, in a compliant manner.
Support early stage projects by providing them a healthy network, and diverse customer base.
Incentivise funds and community to work together.

From where the idea of “Egalitarian Investing” comes from?

We noticed that many times, especially during the ICO era, those who didn’t enter into a token sale very early on would essentially get rekt. Retail investors had to suffer. All deals were made behind closed doors. We wanted to provide an opportunity for everyone to take part in pre-seed projects.

We are backed by Alphabit and a series of top tier funds — all on our website https://launchpool.xyz

Launchpool is an investment platform, that offers its community the opportunity to participate in projects at the same preseed price and vesting period as funds and investors typically get early stage. We call this an allocation mining event.

Participants have to KYC, and then stake $LPOOL (our token) in the 3 available staking pools: 50 (max limit), 250 (max limit), and unlimited.

They then get an allocation % in the project, where time and amount are factored in.

After they deposit the ETH, they claim the tokens from the project, and receive their LPOOL back.

If a project comes to us with a 500k allocation, then we equally divide that 500k into the 3 pools mentioned above (50, 250, unlimited).

That’s what we refer to as egalitarian investment.

Allocation in a project is basically guaranteed, as opposed to being a lottery.

Less gambling and more like being your own VC. Community loves it.

We are considering some changes to the staking pool limits, btw, in response to the ETH gas fees. :)

Do you plan to expand to other blockchains (such as Solana, Avax or Polkadot) to launch their blockchain specific projects? Do you plan to build some cross-chain activities in the future?

Good question, Dziękuję! :D

We already have a Solana project coming up on our AME pipeline, called CCAI (Cryptocurrencies.ai) and a Polkadot-based one called PolkaCipher.

We look for diversity and projects that have something unique to offer.

We aim to become blockchain agnostic.

Obviously, we’d like to partner up with blockchain-specific IDO platforms, too.

We currently have good relationships with a few, Polkastarter, DAOMaker, PAID, and a few others. Typically, projects doing a private sale on Launchpool’s pre-IDO launchpad, will then go to one of the above mentioned for a public IDO.

Cross-chain activities: yes, they are in our roadmap. We have partnered with Multichain.xyz to provide the BSC — ETH bridge. And now we’re enabling USDC raises (CCAI AME will be raised on USDC).

Binance Smart Chain Integration.

In response to the rising gas fees, we have gone all out to offer PuPs and AMEs on the Binance Smart Chain. AMEs on BSC roll out in May, following a step-by-step approach.

Our short term approach of distributing ERC-20 tokens via BSC airdrops was a quick implementation to facilitate Allocation Mining Events, in response to the fluctuating Ethereum gas fees. This has helped us offer a short-term solution to the problems that keep our Launchpool community awake at night. While the processes have proven difficult for the less experienced investors in the crypto space, we are grateful to the continuous support of our community members, and are looking at ways to remove more pain points for future AMEs. :)

Good, at this moment we can see a lot of migration beetwen several blockchains. All other networks except Ethereum and Binance Smart Chain are gaining more and more atention.

Cross-chain oracles are also coming up very often, to enable bridges and cross-functionality across public blockchains and different CEXs and DEXs, CeFi and Defi. It’s exciting times to live in, certainly different flavour than the former bull run.

Could you let us know whether you are going to fight high gas on Ethereum (implementing unification strategies such as single staking/claims fees for multiple pools)?

We’ll have an update on that soon, most probably next week, on how we approach gas fees.

We’re considering expanding the staking pool sizes for ETH and some more developments on the BSC part.

At this point, we’re aware the community is suffering, and we suffer with them.

We do have a BEP20 token for $LPOOL btw, not just an ERC-20

How many projects do you plan to list/AME per month in the nearest future? Could you share some top tokens you will list soon? According to your plans, of course.

We had 4 AMEs in April, and lots of PuPs (PoP-Up-Pools) and Friendship Pools.

Pop-up-Pools (PuPs!):

PoP-Up-Pools are a great way to make the best out of your tokens. Use your $LPOOL tokens to mine tokens for projects that are friends of Launchpool and Alphabit. These are exclusive opportunities negotiated for our community as reward and can’t be found anywhere else. We have been informed by our secret agents that the community really loves our PuPs.

Friendship Pools:

To give our Launchpool community an early taste of projects that are scheduled for an Allocation Mining Event, we created Friendship PuPs. Friendship PuPs are 24–48hr token farming opportunities for every $LPOOL token holder. Get to know a project before you invest in it!

Our aim is to get to launch 2 AMEs per week, which means 8 AMEs (projects) per month. And aim to have liquidity around $500k at all times, although ideally we’d like to have $1mil worth of liquidity options for LPOOLers.

We hope to achieve that, our team is growing, so we will soon have the capacity to deliver more projects.

For this month, we have:

Alium Swap — BSC raise.

CCAI (Solana) — USDC raise.

PolkaCipher (Polkadot) — we’ve asked the community to vote for BSC raise too, so we can hopefully convince the project to accept a BSC raise.

We have announced Coinburp and BUMPER — but AME details are TBA.

We have a few already in our pipeline for June, including DeFi loans, metaverse meets NFTs and VR/AR, and more coming soon.

SingularityDAO and BTC_Proxy have concluded, both good projects.

I think we may hit our 8 projects/month target soon. :)

All are private sale, pre-seed allocations, with pre-seed vesting schedules, the same vesting schedules our partner funds receive as well as Alphabit fund receives, by the way.

How can we trust your launchpool project, how do you check them?

We have an investment department that cross-checks with the team at Alphabit fund, they audit and review projects. If Alphabit and partner funds won’t invest, then the project won’t make it to our Launchpool launchpad, simple as that.

We are an investment platform, and so we follow strict protocols to ensure quality. Our community is more in line with being “your own VC”, so for example, from the community side, 1 wallet = 1 person, everyone has to KYC, and only accepted countries can take part in the respective project.

We make sure that both the community and the project team receive what they are entitled to in terms of quality, and from a regulations point of view.

IF a project team doesn’t offer FULL transparency we don’t accept them on our launchpad.

How are technical functions such as scalability, workflow, customer privacy protection, and databases deployed and handled? Where do you feel need to improve in the future?

Scalability: we are adding new functionalities every month. Launchpool is a work in progress, and product development never stops, to be fair. The community is always offering us suggestions, we have formed a council and a focus group to allow people who have been with us since the very beginning to voice their feedback and suggestions.

More product releases, and more products for Launchpool itself, plus roadmap upgrades.

Workflow: new team members, we’re expanding the team with 5 new hires this month. :)

Customer protection: we’ve quite strict in this sense. For example: only core team and 1 trusted support team member have access to the KYC details when handling issues. We’re trying to improve here processes, too.

I think customer support department can be improved, we’re adding more support there, and dedicated personnel.

And we do offer enhanced marketing support to some of the projects, as not every builder is a marketer, and good projects sometimes need marketing support.

You made this AMA receiving very interesting questions about your technology, what is the feedback you want to receive from us as a community?

Any feedback or suggestions, we are always open, and my DMs are open to receive it.

We can’t always integrate it ASAP, but we’re in close contact with the devs, and have regular discussions with them on what can be integrated, what is a priority and so on.

Any supporting words you guys can offer in our @launchpoolxyz chat is much appreciated or Twitter shout-outs. Sometimes, people panic sell, but we always advise the community to keep a long-term perspective.

Any educational materials you may need, let me/us know, we’re onboarding a Head of Content soon, and I’d like to give her work that benefits the community, in terms of tutorials, ebooks, articles, how-to pieces etc.

Why do we need a holding token at all? You could send the address list and the allocation percentage to the team, that will be dealing with the token distribution.
It is just an additional cost for the participants in the allocation :(.

I’m also connected to Rotki, so closely watching their portfolio management app, and developments, so that later in time we can bring this to Launchpool community.

$LPOOL token holders can use the LPOOL token to access: AMEs, PuPs, Friendship Pools, and the naked pools to farm more LPOOL.

Do you think extending the staking time and lp on Bsc was a smart move? I mean it is clear that those people that doesn’t want to hold the token are dumping the lpool token from the liquidity pools which is not helping in the short term to keep the price stable. Also the time that the distribution take is already quite long.

Most farming projects are driven up by high APY hype and token scarcity. When the APY hype dies, so does the project. What kind of incentives do you plan for token holders, after the staking ends? We can see big dump?

Launchpool claims to become a leader in the field of community driven investing. What makes your project unique? Why should investors choose your platform?

We’re probably the only pre-IDO platform out there. I think most people don’t understand why that is unique.

We have private sale opportunities, guaranteed allocations instead of lotteries, over 2,000 wallets (users) that take part in every AME, instead of the classic 50 players as seen in other platforms.

We are fully audited and regulated, we take KYC seriously, and the private sale prices come with vesting schedules unless a project specifically doesn’t want to offer vesting.

We live and breathe egalitarian opportunities, and do our best to teach people the way to be your own VC, and how to invest in crypto assets, instead of the typical pump and dump.

Claiming from all 3 pools should have just one button to claim them all, are you going to implement such a thing? We have to spent 3x gas fee right now, it’s kind expensive.
